Building upon the extensive community consultations for the recently updated County of Lambton Housing & Homelessness Plan 2020-2024, this survey is intended to garner public input on recent and impending efforts to strengthen housing outcomes and increase reductions in chronic homelessness across Lambton County.
The above plan outlines the many strategies our community is undertaking to realize our shared vision: every person has an affordable, suitable and adequate home. Subsequent to the update of this plan, the COVID-19 global pandemic has introduced new extreme pressures to our housing and homelessness system, disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations. Since the pandemic’s outset, our community has seen over a 400% increase in households identified as experiencing homelessness. Please refer to a recent report to County Council to learn more about shared efforts and successes across Lambton during this difficult period.
