The County of Lambton is working in partnership with the City of Sarnia, the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority, Carolinian Canada Coalition, Sarnia Urban Wildlife and local property owners in the preparation of a Natural Heritage Study. This project has been made possible through the generous financial support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The County of Lambton and the City of Sarnia recognize the need to develop a solid information and policy basis for the area's woodland and other natural features in order to fulfil their planning obligations under the Provincial Policy Statement (PPS). The PPS requires municipalities to plan for the protection and rehabilitation of natural heritage features and functions.
