Wyoming, ON – Looking for information about the Government of Ontario ministries, programs and services? Lambton County Library is hosting a ServiceOntario Week October 19 to 25, to let residents know how easy it is to access government information, applications and forms on the ServiceOntario website with enhanced help at your library.
“Libraries are a great place to find government information and access is made easier with the assistance of our local library staff,” says Susie Beynon, Public Services Manager. “Well-trained staff are available to assist in navigating through the ServiceOntario and other websites and to provide direction on where answers might be found.”
During the week, all participants will receive free library book bags, bookmarks, pens, and brochures as well as access and search instructions for the ServiceOntario website.
A special celebration will take place at the Sarnia Library on Thursday, October 23, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. featuring the launch of two technology initiatives. The adaptive technology initiative is a screen-reading and screen-magnifiying software program that will be available in all libraries except Mooretown. Eight libraries will also feature electronic bulletin boards which essentially are digital signs used to promote ServiceOntario services as well as library information and branch events.
