Social Services Department Mission Statement

Lambton County Social Services is committed to enhancing the quality of life of residents through the provision of financial and social services directed towards the promotion of independence and self sufficiency. In cooperation with other levels of government, community agencies, the private sector, and citizens, the Department will advocate to develop and maintain a comprehensive range of services, within the context of sound financial planning and fiscal practices.

The Social Services Department will deliver its services in a manner that respects the dignity, self-worth of individuals and families and children, and their rights and responsibilities to self-determination.

Programming will be provided by competent staff employed in a work environment which offers opportunities for participation, advancement and professional development.
