The Court Services Department is responsible for processing fine payments, enforcement of unpaid fines, setting trials, recording court proceedings, generating transcripts and other administrative duties resulting from charges laid by the various enforcement agencies operating within Lambton County.

Remote Court Proceedings During COVID-19

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, most court proceedings are being held by videoconference (zoom video link) or by audio conference 855-392-2520. Virtual court appearance instructions and dial in information can be found on the court calendar.

If you have further questions or need to speak to staff about your virtual court appearance, you can email them at the POA Courthouse.

Recording of court matters via video or audio is strictly prohibited without preauthorization, as per the Courts of Justice Act.

Court Services Disruptions

Court Services Department Service Disruptions - To assist in keeping staff and the public safe during the recent lockdowns, the Court Services Department's front service counter for payment of fines and filing of court documents is closed to the public until further notice. Payment of fines can be made online at www.paytickets.ca by credit card, mailed to court services or place in the front entrance drop box located at 1086 Modeland Rd., Bldg. 1020, Sarnia ON N7S 6L2.

Court Services staff is available during regular business hours for assistance by emailing POA Court or by calling 519-344-8880.

Covid-19 Information

To limit the spread of Covid-19, the Court Services Department will remain closed to the public until further notice. Court Services staff will be providing counter services by email at POA Courthouse or by telephone at 519-344-8880 during regular business hours. 

Limitation Period Enacted

On February 26th 2021 the limitation period under section 85 of the Provincial Offences Act was reenacted. This means that if you have an outstanding Provincial Offence Fine, enforcement actions will proceed. 

2021 Court Location

The Court Services Department is now operating at the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park, located at 1086 Modeland Road, Bldg. 1020 Suite 200 S, Sarnia, Ontario N7S 6L2 while renovations are taking place at Lambton Shared Service Centre.
