Anyone who wishes to speak before County Council on matters of fact, petition, policy or to make a request of Council must complete the online form, in its entirety, no later than 12:00 noon on the sixth (6) working day immediately before the Council meeting which you plan to attend.
Any delegate wishing to present to Council on a matter that was included on the most recent prior Committee agenda, shall notify the Clerk in writing of their desire to address Council no later than 12:00 noon on the second (2) working day immediately preceding the Council meeting which they propose to attend.
Council agenda packages are finalized the week prior to the Council meeting.
Please note: No person will be permitted as a delegate to Council if the purpose of the delegation is to speak regarding:
- a tender or request for proposal which is either proposed, pending, or actually before Council or a Committee of Council for its consideration;
- labour relations;
- legal issues including the enforcement of By-Laws, litigation and potential litigation;
- insurance claims; or
- contract negotiations.
The Clerk will inform the delegate of the outcome of their request.
Personal information on this form is collected under authority of the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, c.25 and will be used in the preparation of the applicable Council agenda. Your name, address, comments, and any attachments and materials distributed, will be collected and maintained for the purpose of creating a record that is available to the general public in a hard copy format and on the internet in an electronic format pursuant to Section 27 of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. M.56, as amended.
All information submitted will be considered to be public information and therefore subject to full disclosure, unless you expressly request the removal of your personal identity information. Please note that all meetings are open to the public except where permitted to be closed to the public under legislated authority.
