Wyoming, ON – Sections of Confederation Street (County Road 25) and Indian Road (County Road 29) in the City of Sarnia are scheduled for rehabilitation beginning the week of August 25. Set-up work in the area is beginning today, with lane closures beginning next week as work gets underway.
The work area includes Confederation Street from Sutton Street to Murphy Road and Indian Road from Campbell Street to Kathleen Avenue.
The project, awarded to GIP Paving Inc., includes curb repairs, manhole, valve, and catch basin adjustments, milling the existing surface asphalt, and hot mix asphalt resurfacing.
Through traffic is permitted during construction and businesses will remain open while work is completed. Motorists in the area should expect delays and temporary lane closures as work is underway. To help reduce disruptions, some work will be completed during the overnight hours. Work on this project is expected to last until late October, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to follow all traffic control signage and to drive in a manner that respects the health and safety of road crews.
