Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Archives invites the community to attend The Preservation Lab: Digitization, the third and final session in the Preservation Lab workshop series. The free event takes place on Wednesday, June 18 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Lambton County Archives in Wyoming.
Digitizing archival materials can be a key step in preserving family history, photographs, and important documents. This workshop will introduce participants to the basics of digitization, including recommended formats and the various ways digital images can be stored, accessed, and used.
“Digitization helps protect original documents from wear while also improving access to these records,” said Nicole Aszalos, Archivist/Supervisor of Lambton County Archives. “The workshop will cover the basics of digitization and teach participants how to create digital copies of their own records.”
Attendance is limited to 10 participants and advanced registration is required. Interested participants can register on the event webpage at lambtonarchives.ca.
