Back to SearchPoint Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) is pleased to announce Lambton County Council’s official endorsement of its new 2025–2029 Strategic Plan.
The four-year plan outlines key priorities that will guide Lambton Public Health’s work in assessing, promoting, and protecting community health across the region. It focuses on four areas: mental and physical health in early life, community confidence and engagement, workforce development and well-being, and emergency management.
“This plan is the result of a truly collaborative process,” said Dr. Karalyn Dueck, Medical Officer of Health for Lambton Public Health. “We are deeply grateful to our staff, community partners, interest holders, and members of County Council who shared their insights, ideas, and experiences. Their contributions helped shape a plan that is grounded in local needs and focused on building a healthier future for everyone in Lambton County.”
“This plan will also help Council to effectively advocate for advancing public health policy and prepare community leaders in addressing possible significant health events,” added Lambton County Warden Kevin Marriott.
The plan provides a roadmap for LPH over the next four years that aligns with the Ontario Public Health Standards and broader provincial health goals, while allowing LPH to address the unique needs of Lambton County.
“As we move forward, we look forward to reporting back on our progress in achieving these goals, which promote and protect optimal community health and well-being,” added Dr. Dueck.
