Lambton Heritage Museum hosts September PA Day event Farmyard Frolics

Grand Bend, ON – Lambton Heritage Museum will welcome families to its first PA Day event of the new school year, Farmyard Frolics, on Friday, September 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The event invites families to explore the Museum’s new Agricultural Hall. Visitors can take part in a farm-themed I Spy scavenger hunt, enjoy broom-making demonstrations at 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m., and join guided tours of the space at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.

“Our Farmyard Frolics event is a fun way for families to connect with Lambton County’s agricultural roots through hands-on activities and heritage demonstrations,” said Colleen Inglis, Educational Program Coordinator with Lambton Heritage Museum. “We’re excited for everyone to experience the updated exhibit space and the way it brings our local farming history to life.”

Agriculture has been a cornerstone of Lambton County’s economy and community life for over 200 years. While farming methods and tools have evolved over time, the essential role of farming in sustaining the County has remained constant. The exhibit highlights aspects of farm life including clearing the land, raising livestock, plowing, planting, harvest, and processing crops.

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors (65+) and students, $3 for children, and children aged three and under are free. No registration is required. For more information, visit the event page on the Museum’s website.
