Lambton Heritage Museum to host World U17 Challenge Cup as part of ongoing Hockey exhibition

Grand Bend, ON - Lambton Heritage Museum's popular Hockey exhibition is set to feature a special addition - the prestigious World U17 Challenge Cup will be on display at the Museum from October 30 to November 1, 2024.

Hockey, which has been running at the museum since early summer, celebrates the rich history and culture of the sport through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and rare artifacts. It is a travelling exhibition from the Canadian Museum of History that also features local artifacts and stories unique to Lambton County curated by Lambton Heritage Museum. The addition of the World U17 Challenge Cup display will provide a unique opportunity for hockey fans to see this coveted trophy up close.

In addition to the World U17 Challenge Cup display, visitors to the Hockey exhibition between October 23 and November 1 will be entered into a draw to win two tickets to the gold medal game of the U17 tournament. This special event is made possible through a partnership between Lambton Heritage Museum and Tourism Sarnia-Lambton. The collaboration aims to promote local cultural experiences and attract visitors to the region.

Lambton Heritage Museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with extended hours on Thursday until 8:30 p.m. Hockey closes on November 9, 2024. Admission to the museum is free for residents of Lambton County in celebration of Lambton’s 175th Anniversary, for non-residents it is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $3 for children aged 4-12.
