
Oil Springs, ON – The Oil Museum of Canada, National Historic Site, is pleased to announce the Wheels & Wells Car Show will take place on Saturday, August 23 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event will unite the region’s unique role in the oil industry with automotive enthusiasts for a day of classic cars, fun prizes, and a celebration of local history.
Vehicle registration begins at 9:30 a.m. by donation, with a suggested amount of $10 per vehicle appreciated. All makes and models of vehicle are welcome. The event officially begins at 11:00 a.m. with free admission for event spectators.
Highlights of the day will include a special display of auto-themed artifacts connecting Lambton County’s oil heritage to the evolution of the automobile, oil history trivia for prizes throughout the day, a 50/50 lottery, and awards for show vehicles presented at 2:00 p.m.
“The Wheels & Wells Car Show offers a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else – classic cars displayed at the birthplace of Canada’s oil industry,” said Jessica Stevenson, Marketing and Events Coordinator with the Oil Museum of Canada. “Whether you’re a car enthusiast or history buff, this event has something special to offer!”
