The prosecution for Part I and Part II matters are provided by the Municipal Prosecutor of the County of Lambton Legal Services/Clerk's Department. The Ministry of the Attorney General provides prosecution for Part III matters. See our Ticket Information and Resources page for more information regarding Part I, II, and III matters.
Resolution meetings
The Municipal Prosecutor provides Resolution Meetings for defendants who have received a court date and wish to resolve their Part I or II charge before going to trial. The defendant will receive instructions regarding when to call the Prosecutor in their Notice of Trial which will arrive via mail. If a resolution has been made during the discussion, a defendant is still required to attend the court date as outlined in his/her Notice of Trial, to agree to the terms discussed on record.
