Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group (CECG) met Wednesday, December 22 to discuss updates to the current COVID-19 situation.

- Heard that 214,403 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Lambton County, as of Wednesday, December 22. Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) would like to inform the public on changes to its operations during the holidays this year.
LPH is modifying the COVID-19 surveillance reporting schedule during the holiday season. This follows a similar approach across the province with reports from Provincial Health Authorities and other health units. Provincial Vaccine Supply Update: Third Dose Walk-In Clinic added for 70+ in Forest

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) has been notified by the province that future orders of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are temporarily delayed, so our remaining Pfizer supply needs to be prioritized.
Beginning Tuesday, December 21, in stock vaccines will be distributed as follows:
- Residents aged 12-29 years old will receive the Pfizer vaccine as recommended by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (while supplies last).

Point Edward, ON – In an effort to shield our most vulnerable and provide an extra layer of protection against COVID-19 and its variants (including Omicron), Lambton Public Health (LPH) is increasing opportunities for third dose (booster) vaccinations to individuals 70 years of age and older in the next week.
