Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) is partnering with four local primary care practice groups on a new pilot project to administer Moderna vaccines to their patients with the high-risk chronic health conditions.
“Primary care providers have always had an important role to play in community immunization,” said Dr. Sudit Ranade, Medical Officer of Health for Lambton County. “They will also be pivotal in the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.”

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) is investigating an outbreak at a Retirement Residence, declared on March 20. LPH received the laboratory-confirmed positive COVID-19 test result for one staff member at Fairwinds Lodge Retirement Residence, in Sarnia.
A long-term care or other communal living setting outbreak is declared when one or more COVID-19 cases is lab-confirmed in a staff member or resident with possible exposure to others in the setting.

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) is investigating one long-term care outbreak and one school outbreak, both declared on March 19.
