Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library is hosting a talk with author and advocate Gabriel Allahdua at Sarnia Library Theatre on Friday, February 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Allahdua will share insights from his memoir Harvesting Freedom: The Life of a Migrant Worker in Canada.
Harvesting Freedom highlights Allahdua’s personal experiences as a former migrant worker and examines Canada’s role in the history of slavery, colonialism, and inequality connecting the Caribbean to the wider world.

Lambton Public Health is searching for dog following bite incident in Sarnia

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident that occurred around 1:30 – 2:00 p.m. in the Blackwell Trails area of Sarnia on Monday, Feb. 10.
The dog is described as medium sized, with brown fur, and resembling a boxer. It was being walked by a female who was carrying a walkie-talkie and is believed to be between 40 and 50 years of age.

- Heard presentations from:
- Sarah Reaume, Chief Executive Officer, Community Futures Lambton, regarding an update on organization programming and the announcement of a new County-wide initiative.

Ontario Opening Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment Hub in Sarnia

SARNIA — The Ontario government is helping create safer communities and supporting people struggling with addiction and mental health issues in Sarnia by building a new Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hub. This new hub is part of the province’s plan to support safer communities by investing $529 million to create a total of 27 HART Hubs across the province while also banning drug injection sites from operating within 200 metres of schools and licensed child-care centres.
