First human case of West Nile Virus 2018

Point Edward, ON - A Lambton County resident has tested positive for the West Nile virus (WNV).
This is the first lab confirmed human case of the virus in Lambton in 2018. There have been 54 human cases reported in Ontario. WNV was previously established in our area through local surveillance efforts. Mosquito pools in Wyoming and Corunna and a crow in Sarnia tested positive earlier this season.

County opening 13 electric vehicle charging stations for public use

Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton is opening 13 publicly-available electric vehicle charging stations across the community.
The stations operate on the FLO network and were installed, in part, through funding totalling nearly $104,000 from Ontario's Ministry of Transportation.
