County of Lambton launches online building permit and by-law portal

Wyoming, ON – The County’s Building Services Department is now accepting building permit applications and by-law reports through Cloudpermit, an online, cloud-based software.

With Cloudpermit, residents can apply for a building permit and submit by-law reports easily and securely online. Cloudpermit allows applicants to monitor the progress of their application or report and allows Building Inspectors and By-law Officers immediate access to information and updates while conducting on-site visits.

Book Cover Design Contest winners announced

Wyoming, ON – After reviewing 72 submissions from children aged 5 – 12, a panel of jurors have selected six winners in the Lambton County Library and Gallery in the Grove Book Cover Design Contest, held in recognition of the Gallery’s latest exhibit, CANSCAIP in the Grove: The Art of Picturebooks,which features artwork from the Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP).

JNAAG offering specialized art program for youth

Sarnia, ON – The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is once again offering Art Pod, a specialized workshop designed for youth aged 10 – 14 with special needs and an interest in fine arts.

Led by practicing professional artists, Art Pod takes place one Thursday a month from September through November from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A different art method is explored each month. No experience is necessary to participate.
