Smoke from forest fires affecting air quality in Lambton County

Point Edward, ON – Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) ratings as calculated Ontario Ministry of Environment, Conservation, and Parks (MECP) and Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), have reached levels considered to be Very High risk as of 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27 due to active forest fires in northeastern Ontario and Quebec. As a result, Lambton Public Health (LPH), is encouraging residents to take the proper precautions to protect their health.

Sarnia, ON – The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery invites families and members of the public to drop-in to the art studio every Saturday afternoon for Family Saturday, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. These short, artist-facilitated studio activities are inspired by the current exhibitions. Lambton County Library and Gallery in the Grove hosting youth Book Cover Design Contest

Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library has teamed up with Gallery in the Grove and the Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators, and Performers (CANSCAIP) to host a book cover design contest for youth, asking them to design a front cover for their favourite books.
The library’s contest will complement Gallery in the Grove’s exhibit, CANSCAIP in the Grove: The Art of Picturebooks, which runs from September 9 to October 28, 2023.
