Stock up for summer reading at Lambton County Library’s Used Book Sale

Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library is hosting its annual Used Book Sale on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (or while supplies last) at the Wyoming Fairgrounds, 595 Main Street, Wyoming.
“The book sale is a great opportunity to recycle duplicate copies of popular books or non-circulating copies of books and make room on the shelves in our 25 libraries for new titles,” said Brian Bowley, Technical Services Supervisor with Lambton County Library.

Wyoming, ON – People looking to access private meeting space for in-person and virtual appointments with government agencies and community organizations are now able to reserve a Connection Cube at Sarnia Library. Lambton Public Health issues advisory regarding increase in suspected opioid overdoses/toxicity

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health (LPH) has received reports of 10 suspected opioid overdoses/toxicity over a five-day period beginning June 29, 2023. This is higher than average compared to recent monitoring data.
Due to this increase, LPH urgently recommends caution when using opioids or if using drugs not prescribed to you:
- Don’t mix with alcohol or other drugs,
- Don’t use alone,
- Know the signs of an opioid overdose,
- Carry a Naloxone kit.
Signs of an opioid overdose/toxicity include:
