COVID-19 Pandemic - Four Deaths Confirmed in Lambton

Point Edward, ON - Lambton Public Health (LPH) has been notified of two additional deaths related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of local cases testing positive for COVID-19 has also increased.

Eighth Confirmed Case of COVID-19 in Lambton

Point Edward, ON - Lambton Public Health (LPH) is reporting an eighth confirmed case of COVID-19 in Lambton County. We received laboratory notification of the new case in a patient who is hospitalized at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. The patient is in their 70s and is a resident of Lambton County.

For weeks now, we have been warned by our Health Officials that the virus is present and circulating in our community. The confirmation of these cases reinforces that claim. I know many of you have already been following the advice of our experts, but for those who have not been, NOW is the time to get onboard.

Emergency Control Group Update - March 27

Wyoming, ON - The County of Lambton Emergency Control Group met this morning to discuss updates in the current COVID-19 situation. The group is scheduled to meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday next week to discuss new developments and planning requirements. Additional meetings will be arranged if needed.
