My Community Notification Network (MyCNN) is a local emergency alerting system that can be used to notify residents with publicly listed land-line telephones during emergencies. Residents will typically receive alerts for tornado warnings, drinking water emergencies, shelter-in-place advisories, evacuation advisories and missing children.

Not everyone has a land-line telephone and telephone directories are not always complete or current. Therefore, in order to be certain that you will receive emergency alerts, you can subscribe to MyCNN. This will allow you to select notification options through additional communication methods such as cell phone, email and text messages. As a subscriber, you can also choose to receive notifications about non-emergency events that affect your home, workplace, school and more.
There is no cost to subscribe – the CAER organization has funded the system and made it available for local public alerting. All alert messages are sent by municipal, County or emergency officials.
To receive notifications, visit the CAER website to create a MyCNN account. The CAER organization does not manage subscriber information and municipal officials will not share your information with other agencies. You can deactivate your account at any time by removing your contact information from your profile. Click on the “Get Notified” button below to get started.
