Heavy truck restrictions are in place on sections of the following County Roads, as per By-Law 39 of 2009:
- County Road 4 - Petrolia Line
- County Road 7 - Lakeshore Road
- County Road 11 - Aberarder Line
- County Road 12 - Townsend Line
- County Road 16 - London Road
- County Road 25 - Confederation Street
- County Road 29 - Indian Road
- County Road 26 - Mandaumin Road
- County Road 30 - Oil Heritage Road
- County Road 31 - Kimball Road
What is a heavy truck?
According to the By-Law, a Heavy Truck is a commercial vehicle with a GVRW in excess of 28,600 kilograms (63,052 pounds).
These kinds of vehicles include four or more axle single unit trucks, four or fewer axle truck and trailer combinations, five axle truck and trailer combinations, six or more axle truck and trailer combinations, five or fewer axle multis, six axle multis, and seven or more axle multis, as noted in the FHWA Vehicle Classification Scheme.

County staff work with enforcement agencies, including Ontario Provincial Police, Sarnia Police Services, and the Ministry of Transportation, to help reduce the impacts of heavy trucks on County roads.
