Household Hazardous Waste mobile depot coming to Lambton Shores - August 2019

Wyoming, ON - The popular Household Hazardous Waste Days, co-sponsored by the County of Lambton Public Works Department and Clean Harbors Canada Inc., will be changing locations in August and will offer Lambton County residents an opportunity to dispose household hazardous waste at no cost.

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about a dog and its owner following a dog bite incident around noon on Sunday, August 18 in the parking lot outside the convenience store at the corners of Trudeau and Confederation streets.

Wyoming, ON - The Lambton County Long-Term Care Division has launched a new program called Lambton County Connects (LCC). LCC provides individuals in Lambton County an opportunity to socialize, learn new skills, and stay connected to others from the comfort of their own home, while helping prevent social isolation in the community. Wyoming, ON - Lane closures and reductions will be taking place on Friday, August 16, 2019 on Michigan Avenue (County Road 19) from Christina Street to Front Street in Point Edward.

The closures and reductions will be taking place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and will include the intersections at Michigan Avenue and Christina Street and Michigan Avenue and Front Street. These closures are necessary to complete milling, paving and pavement marking operations.

Lambton Public Health searching for dog that bit boy

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health is seeking information about the location of a dog and its owner after a 12-year-old boy was bitten around 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 6 between Skeeter Barlow's Grill & Bar and Kenwick Park in Bright's Grove.

The dog, described as medium-sized black-brown possibly a Rottweiler or Rottweiler mix, was leashed and walked by a girl and young woman. The victim did not get any contact information of the owner.
