Sarnia, ON – The final opportunity to view John Hartman: Many Lives Mark This Place andNico Williams: Biskaabiiyang / Returning to Ourselves at the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery is quickly approaching. The exhibitions, which have been visited by over 1,500 guests since opening on May 5, 2023, will be closing on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Lambton County Libraries closed for Labour Day

Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library locations and book return bins will be closed on Sunday, September 3, and Monday, September 4, for Labour Day. No items will be due on September 3 or September 4 as all due dates have been adjusted.

Applications being accepted for Affordable Housing Seed Funding Program

Sarnia, ON – The Housing Services Department is accepting applications for a new Affordable Housing Seed Funding Program, which provides grant funding to assist with the planning costs of building new affordable housing projects.
Subject to Council approval at the September 6, 2023 meeting, the program will provide up to $200,000 per approved project, up to a maximum total of $500,000 for all approved projects in 2023.

Mosquitoes test positive for West Nile Virus

Point Edward, ON – Lambton Public Health’s surveillance program has confirmed mosquitoes collected on Wednesday, Aug. 16 from two traps, located in Wyoming and Sarnia, have tested positive for West Nile Virus.
These are the first positive results for the virus in Lambton County this year. No positive human cases of West Nile have been confirmed to date in the County.

Sarnia, ON – The Judith & Norman Alix Art Gallery is seeking volunteers to join their dedicated and enthusiastic team of art lovers.
